Palominos

Palominos, a five piece band hailing from Richmond, Virginia, follows the lead of artists like The Kings of Leon, My Morning Jacket, and Ryan Adams. Their music could be described as a comfortable blend of vintage tube driven tones with a flair for modern influence. The songs are littered in tasteful vocal harmonies and wrapped in a blanket of southern roots. A strong emphasis is placed on songwriting, which is then escalated into a barrage of energy on the live stage! Due to a recent partnership with Tinderboxmusic, Palominos self titled debut album has received heavy rotation on over 100 college radio stations across the country. Recent accolades include selection to perform at the 6th Annual Langerado Music Festival at Big Cypress, a performance on the Emmy nominated PBS program THE MUSIC SEEN, a nomination to perform at the 2006 Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, GA, and reaching #9 on CMJ top 20 Adds Chart for issue #990. The Palominos play a 2 or 3 set show which incorporates an impressive blend of classic cover songs and their awesome original music that will provide hours of quality entertainment.
