Essence Band & Show is a 7-piece entertainment group, playing high-teck tracks and drum machines and a crazy blend of music, spanning from Rhythm and Blues, Golden Oldies and Top Forty music through the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and the new millennium. Their performances are full of energy, laughter and fun as they pride themselves on this wide array of music. Essence specializes in playing for wedding receptions, fraternity, sorority and Masonic balls, community functions, birthday, holiday parties, family reunions, and more...Essence will shy away from no challenge and has played before every type of audience, even country/Western.
Essence travels up and down the east coast, performing from Miami to New York. Essence Band & Show originated in 1990 in Richmond, VA as a 3-piece group and have expanded their size and extended their traveling route ever since.
